Hungry for More: Making the perfect filet mignon at home

Last week, “Hungry for More” host Jim Manney took us on a road trip to Spanky’s Stone Hearth near Vergas, Minn., where owner and Chef Josh Hanson showed us how to break down tenderloin and get the most out of your money and your meat.

This week, we’re back at Spanky’s, where Hanson shows us how to use one of those pieces of meat in all its natural glory.

We cook up a filet mignon wrapped in bacon, cooked over their charcoal grill to really bring out some great flavors.

Since they have a grill in their kitchen, Hanson has become a bit of a pro since the restaurant uses it to cook some of their most delectable menu items.

Not only do we get great cooking tips, but some grilling tips as well.
