BISMARCK — North Dakota has seen a steady increase in the number of dentists practicing in the state in recent years.

The North Dakota Board of Dental Examiners says nearly 400 dentists now practice in the state, up from 320 five years ago.

North Dakota Dental Association director Joseph Cichy tells the Bismarck Tribune (http://bit.ly/18FtojE ) that membership in the organization has increased 20 percent in the past decade.

Cichy says young dentists who are originally from the state are choosing to come back. He says older dentists are moving to North Dakota because of the state's economic boom.
