Earl and Janice (Semmens) Strinden, Grand Forks, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family sunset dinner cruise in August on Pelican Lake in Minnesota.

Earl and Janice (Semmens) Strinden, Grand Forks, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family sunset dinner cruise in August on Pelican Lake in Minnesota.

They were married Sept. 27, 1953, at the First Lutheran Church, Litchville, N.D. They have lived primarily in Grand Forks after Earl’s service in the United States Marine Corps and enjoy spending summers at Lake Lida in Minnesota.

They have five children Ronda (David) Zupi, West Fargo; Jon (Sandi) Strinden, Karen (Tony) Grindberg and Tom (Michelle) Strinden, all of Fargo; and Beth (Todd) Kadoun, Minnetonka, Minn.; 14 grandchildren, Beth Ann (Ward) DeMontigny and Michael Zupi, Grand Forks; Andrew, Daniel and Emily Strinden, Thomas Beadle, Ashlyn and Chase Grindberg, and Jacob, Joseph, Benjamin and Sarah Strinden, all of Fargo; and Isaac and Katie Kadoun, Minnetonka.
