FARGO – A woman wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service is in custody after a team of bounty hunters looking for someone else found her here.

Jessica Jones, 28, who was wanted for drug possession and concealed weapons charges, was arrested by the Northern Bounty Fugitive Enforcement Team near the 900 block of Ninth Avenue South, WDAY-TV reported.

The bounty hunting team was looking for a man who skipped a court appearance when they found out Jones was a likely acquaintance.

“We got word that he was with one of the U.S. marshals’ most-wanted females, so we are going to work with Fargo PD and try to get her apprehended, as well,” Anthony Greeno, a bounty hunter from Charleston, S.C., told WDAY-TV.

Greeno said Jones also faces methamphetamine charges and has been “just a troublemaker in the Fargo-Moorhead area.”

The bounty hunters met with police and went looking for the pair on Wednesday with the help of an informant.

Minutes later, police had Jones in custody, but the man the bounty hunters were looking for couldn’t be found, WDAY-TV reported.

Greeno said they are glad to see any wanted criminal in handcuffs.

“I like getting criminals off of the street; people that are hiding, ducking from the law, that are a danger to society, drug dealers, child molesters. I don’t want them on the street, I have a family to protect,” he told WDAY-TV.

Greeno has his own reality show about his bounty-hunting efforts back in Charleston, called “Southern Bounty Hunter.”
