DuWayne George Jensen

DuWayne was born in Lisbon, North Dakota to Sonke and Emma Jensen. A graduate from Verona High School (North Dakota) in '61. A veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Vietnam War. He graduated from North Dakota State University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

DuWayne was born in Lisbon, North Dakota to Sonke and Emma Jensen. A graduate from Verona High School (North Dakota) in '61. A veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Vietnam War. He graduated from North Dakota State University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

He moved to Vallejo, California with his wife in 1970 and started working on the Mare Island Navel Shipyard for the Design Division. He retired from Mare Island in 1991 ending a 22 year career.

During his years in Vallejo DuWayne could be found watching one of his son's sporting events (he never missed a game), shooting a round of golf, camping at a Bluegrass Festival, watching his Giants, 49ers, and Warriors on TV, spending time in his garage working on his baseball card collection or enjoying his time with family and friends.

DuWayne is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Linda; their only son, Aaron (Deann); one grandson, Henry; and three step-grandchildren Jacquelyn, Jay and Joseph. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, Dennis (Tillie); Donna (Al) Reinke; DeAnn (Gary) Sandness; Kenneth (Cookie).

DuWayne will be cremated. A memorial and celebration of his life will be held in the Summer of 2014, when the weather will be more suitable for such a celebration.
