Sommer Rae Wild, Oxbow, N.D., and Tarik Nurkic, Fargo, were married June 28, 2013, at the Carlson Towers Amphitheatre, Minnetonka, Minn. A reception followed in the Carlson Towers Rotunda.
Parents are Kent and Kristie Wild, Oxbow; and Faruk and Hajrija Nurkic, Fargo, formerly from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Sommer graduated in 2005 from Fargo South High School and in 2009 she graduated from St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minn., with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and statistics. She is currently a fourth year medical student at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine, Grand Forks, and she will graduate from medical school in May and plans to pursue a residency in radiation oncology. She graduated in 2013 from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore with a master’s degree in public health.
Tarik graduated in 2005 from Fargo South High School and in 2010 he graduated from North Dakota State University with bachelor degrees in biochemistry and molecular biology and Spanish. He is a fourth year medical student at the UND School of Medicine and will graduate in May. He plans to pursue a residency in radiology.
The couple currently lives in Fargo and will find out in March where they will continue their medical training and make their new home.
