Shannon L. Jacobson, 69, Hendrum resident, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 in hospice care at her home with her loving family by her side.

Shannon was born in Minneapolis on October, 22 1944 the daughter of Roy and Evelyn (Knutson) Lundgren. She married Curtis Abel on December 8, 1961 in Detroit Lakes, MN. They had one daughter, Melonie Kricket Turnboom born August 22, 1962.

Shannon was born in Minneapolis on October, 22 1944 the daughter of Roy and Evelyn (Knutson) Lundgren. She married Curtis Abel on December 8, 1961 in Detroit Lakes, MN. They had one daughter, Melonie Kricket Turnboom born August 22, 1962.

She completed a Dietician’s Degree from the University of North Dakota in 1978 and worked various jobs in the Food Service Industry. In 1992, Shannon opened “The Pie Place” in Grand Marias, MN and operated a successful business until 1995 when she met and married Earl Jacobson on January 20, 1996 and moved to Hendrum, MN. She worked at Integrity Windows until her retirement in 2007. In recent years, she enjoyed being a volunteer driver for Social Services. She attended the Koinonia Christian Church in Detroit Lakes and had a very strong passion for the Lord and His people. Her greatest joys in life were traveling, baking pies and spending time with her family.

Shannon was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her mother-in-law, Opal (Jacobson) Londo; husband, Earl; children Melonie (Darren) Turboom of Meadowlands, MN, Kim Jacobson of Halstad, MN; Pete (Chrissy) Jacobson of Halstad, MN

VISITATION Sat. Jan. 18th. 12:00 and Memorial Service: 1:00 at Christian Fellowship Church, 28048 Meadow Drive, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501, with a meal and a time of fellowship following in the church basement. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred and can be sent to The Jacobson Family, 1507 Co Rd 4, Hendrum, MN 56550.
