Gerhard M. Sorlien

Gerhard M. Sorlien passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014. Gerhard was born on the family farm near Thompson, N.D. on Christmas Day in 1938. The son of Luella (Hjelmstad) and Martin Sorlien. He attended country school at Union #101. He graduated from Hatton High School in 1956-- In 1958 he graduated from the North Dakota School of Science, Wahpeton, N.D.

He started working for L.P. Anderson Supply of Miles City, M.T. in 1958 as their bookkeeper, in 1999 he retired from there as Vice President and General Manager.

He is survived by his wife Sharon and 4 daughters, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Henning (Mavis), Maurice (Janet), Harlan, and Wendell (Esther).

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Darrell and Maynard.
