With deep sadness, but still in hope, we mourn the loss of Janice, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.

Janice was born Nov. 18, 1929 to Walter F. and Gladys (Rieck) Richman of Tower City, ND and raised on a farm in North Dakota with brother Wayne and sister Maxyne. She was a graduate of Valley City State College and received her Master's degree in Education from the University of Minnesota.

She was a dedicated teacher in the Richfield, MN school district for 34 years. She was a long time Edina resident and part time resident of Norfolk, Virginia.

She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt. She was a long time member of Mount Olivet Church, world traveler, patron of the arts, avid reader, champion of United States Veterans, and historic preservations.

She is survived by her son Richard, granddaughter Shawnya, three nieces, and many friends. Also by numerous cousins.
