Olga C. Jordheim
Olga Jordheim, formerly of Walcott, ND, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001 in Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND.
Olga Caroline Johnson was born to Olaus and Anna (Eckre) Johnson on her parents' farm near Walcott on Aug. 14, 1907. She attended school in Walcott, graduating as valedictorian in 1926. She graduated from St. Luke's School of Nursing in 1930 as an RN. She did private duty nursing in Fargo until 1934. She continued to provide nursing care for many in her community.
On March 11, 1934, she married Ole Jordheim on her parents' farm near Walcott. They continued to live and farm there until moving into Walcott in 1978. During these years she was an active member of Walcott Lutheran Church and taught 6th grade Sunday School for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Mabel (Melvin) Bolme in 1952; and a son, Orland, in 1992.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Bette Jordheim, Kindred, ND; a son, Arnold (Gerda) Jordheim, Walcott; a daughter, Shirley (Richard) Bolme, Fargo; nine grandchildren, Rhonda (Jeff) Macdonald, Vienna, VA, Joni (Rev. Michael) Burns, Moorhead, MN, Sally (Joe) Dunn, LaGrange, KY, Dan (Vicki) Jordheim, Richland, WA, Andre Jordheim, Fargo, Chris (Michelle) Jordheim, Pittsburgh, PA, Brent (Lori) Jordheim, Dickinson, ND, Mike (Angie) Bolme, Bismarck, ND, Matt (Kari) Bolme, Moorhead; 17 great-grandchildren, Kelly, Ryan and Danny Macdonald, Sean (Hanneli) and Kerry Burns, John, Joseph, Jessica and Jordan Dunn, Jeremiah and Emily Jordheim, Levi and Lexi Jordheim, Tyler and Sara Caroline Bolme, Meghan and Mayson Bolme; and Baby Girl Jordheim, due imminently; and niece and nephew, Mary Ann (Bolme) Carter and Duane Bolme, both Grand Rapids, MN.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be given to Bethany Homes, Walcott Lutheran Church, Hospice of the Red River Valley, or others as the donor wishes.
Visitation: Thursday from 5-7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Fredrikson Funeral Chapel, Kindred.
Memorial service: Friday at 10 AM in Bethany Homes, Fargo.
Funeral: Friday at 2:30 PM in Walcott Lutheran Church.
Burial: Walcott Cemetery.
