Marjorie Elizabeth Vangsness, 57, Lisbon, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo.

Marjorie Haga was born Feb. 27, 1944, in Northwood, N.D., where she attended school. She graduated from the University of North Dakota with a music education degree. She played organ for church services. She married Norman Vangsness June 11, 1966, in Northwood. They lived in Grand Forks, N.D., before moving to West Fargo in 1966. She worked for North Dakota State University and gave private music lessons. They moved to Lisbon in 1967, where she continued giving music lessons. She also taught music for Sheldon, N.D., and Lisbon schools. She worked as an organist for Trinity Lutheran Church, Lisbon.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Janyne Vangsness, Fargo; and a sister, Marcia (Virgil) Sheggerud, Northwood.

Visitation: Today from 4-6, with a prayer service at 5, in Bilden Funeral Home, Northwood.

Funeral: Saturday at 10:30 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Lisbon.

Burial: West Prairie Cemetery, Kindred, N.D.
