HAWLEY, Minn. – There are 13 players listed on the Hawley boys basketball team’s roster. Nearly one-third of those players quit Friday.

FARGO – When Payton Jordahl was a freshman at football practice for Perham (Minn.) High School he decided to try long snapping just for fun. It was good enough to get him a permanent spot on varsity and now it’s gotten him his dream.
MOORHEAD – Fargo Oak Grove point guard Carter Kretchman wants everything that comes with the spotlight. He wants the pressure, the standing-room-only crowd and, more importantly for the Grovers, he wants the ball.
FARGO – When Cam Johnson walked into Scheels Arena on Friday prior to Waterloo’s 3-1 United States Hockey League win over Fargo, he walked into unfamiliar territory inside of a familiar place.
MOORHEAD – After three overtime games in Moorhead’s last four and six overtime games out of 18 on the season, the Spuds may have forgotten what to do after the third period when overtime isn’t needed.
FARGO – The Minnesota State High School League Board of Directors approved 2015 high school football dates at a meeting Thursday – eliminating one week of preseason practices.
