Did they ever release a toxicology report on the kid that was shot? I think being under the influence of something would be a big part of the story.

I feel for the parents but come on. You need to find a healthy way to cope rather than wishing ill on the other person involved. The kid went into a home and received the consequences (as unfortunate as they are). I am guessing the real vicitim, in protecting himself and his home, isn't getting up everyday happy as can be. He still has to deal with the fact that he killed someone. He is very well in a much worse place than prison right now.

What about the toxicology results showing LaFromboise was under the influence of Shermstick??? Live like a banger - die like one...

Yes I agree. This kid was obviously VERY drunk and disorientated, and who knows what someone that drunk would do...I think it was insane that there could of been the possibiliy of charges! The parents are VERY WRONG hoping for Allen to be in jail, when it was their child in Allen's home swinging at him....How dare they even say that!!!! I'm pretty sure that Allen didn't go outside to find this kid and then shoot him...The stupidity of kids....I feel bad for the parents losing a child, but I feel worse for Allen having this with him forever, but I hope he knows what he did was what a lot of us would have done. Just a bad incident all together!!!

If someone enters my home and will not leave when asked, and I fear for my safety, I should have the right to defend myself.

perhaps the forum should have the integrity to backtrack from their editorial which, while not outright saying it, implied that the process was racist and that the crime lab, the Moorhead PD, and the County attorney were putting this on the back burner instead of being thorough. Perhaps they will but the responsibility where it belongs, on an inebriated, troubled youth, who did something very stupid, and paid for it with his life.

I'm sure this gentleman suffers each and everyday. I agree no jail time was needed.

0.216 BAC? And this was the 3rd day in an 11 day span of time that he tried getting into other people's apartments - and the 3rd time on the 20th alone he tried to get into someone else's apartment. He got what he deserved! I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner. Hopefully his family will stop playing the vicitm and making their son out to be the victim in this. He's not the victim.
