I really enjoyed listening to Al in the morning giving us the morning news...my grandparents got me hooked on listening to him, just know that you will be missed Al. Thank you for your years of dedication to the news dept at WDAY and to the Valley.. I just started listening to the Ben and Tracy show in the morning and I really enjoyed it. I had switched to KFGO after Paul left but came back. If they want to rearrange there morning shows all the time they are surely going to lose more radio listeners and I don't know if I will listen anymore in the morning...Do they plan on doing anything the J Thomas show because if they do they will have lost me for good

Al Aamodt is a radio icon in the RRV. This just shows that when you reach a certain age, you are expandable. My advise to all who read this is to change the channel and let DAY know what you think about their greed. If people quit listening, they may get the message. Cheaper is not better!! Good luck in the future, Al. You will be missed!!

WDAY made a huge mistake today in letting Al go. Your listenership and your advertising dollars are only going to go down when you let your best newsman go. You're never going to beat KFGO in the ratings when get rid of your best employee go, and keep changing your line up. You're also not going to be able to attract new talent when you keep laying people off.

Ok, Here WDAY AM starts to get ratings & then does this? Who may I ask in in charge of the station? Getting rid of Al & Ben who I think are true talents in radio here in Fargo. To many of us in the downtown area who really started to like the morning show with Al with news Ben & Tracy~ And I will say, people who make this town move,, You really have made a very grave move here. Changing again? What fools you look like at WDAY! I am done with this station! I do not who is in charge of the station?, but it seems no one. I am done along with many others! Good luck Al & Ben!

So they were "laid off"? Meaning if the economy or other conditions change, they get hired back? Come on, WDAY fired them and are just trying to sugar coat it. I'm surprised they didn't force them into "retiring" so they could "spend more time with their families". KFGO is just going to continue to smoke them in the ratings.

Al: You did one heck of a job at WDAY through the years. You will be missed! Be proud of your accomplishments. Nobody worked harder that you did. Norm Schrader poured his heart and soul into that place and so do you. Some reward for the both of you.

Al Aamodt is a legend in radio in Fargo Moorhead. I used to listen to him when I listened to WDAY. however, that was years ago. I switched to KFGO to get live news 24X7.This is what this country is coming to folks, Greed! Get ride of the person who helped make you good, as he makes to much money now, and keep the lower paid wet behind the ears whippersnappers. I feel for you Al. I hope KFGO makes you an offer. Hang in there.

So WDAY sends another broadcasting legend out to pasture. Al is the most trusted newsman in the valley. Was he getting too close to retirement? Shame on you WDAY! I will have to show my approval by using my channel changer!

Al was an icon on radio, like Marv was to TV. What a shame to lose such a well informed reporter!!!!!
