New York Mills put up 18 victories this season primarily because of consistent defense and solid pitching. In the first round of the Minnesota Class 1A state baseball playoffs, the Eagles found themselves on the opposing side to such success in an 8-0 shutout loss to Tracy-Milroy-Balaton on Wednesday at the Mini-Met.
