The tall, friendly and popular violin player for WDAY Radio got his stage name from another WDAY personality. The violinist was Lars Birklid. The other radio guy was Lem Hawkins. One day Lars walked into the station, and Lem, out of the blue, said, “Here comes the Texas Ranger.”
