Mike Rosmann: Many beginning farmer programs geared to vets
Veterans Day is Sunday, but the federal holiday is celebrated on Monday this year. According to a 2011 White House Report, Jobs and Economic Security for Rural America, 44 percent of men and women who serve in the U.S. military are residents of rural areas of the country, even though rural residents overall account for 17 percent of the population.
