Conrad G. VanderLinden, age 60, passed away Wednesday, December 5th, 2012. Conrad was born on December 26, 1951 in Ada, MN, the son of Clifford and Bernice (Schroeder) VanderLinden. He attended school in Twin Valley and continued in Gary of where he graduated with the Class of 1970. In 1971 he was drafted into the army and was in active duty for two years followed by four years of reserve duty. He concluded his service with honorable discharge in January of 1977. In 1974, Conrad met the love of his life, Lori Beth Grivno and they were united in marriage on June 18, 1977. They built a home in the country of where they still reside. They were blessed with two children, Carrie Elizabeth, in 1981 and Jacob Glen, in 1982. They had their own business called C & L Tree Service for a period of time. Conrad had a passion for large equipment, which included driving semi-trucks of which he drove for several companies. He was currently employed with the Norman County Highway Department. Conrad was blessed with six grandchildren, that were a highlight in his life. Conrad was a true outdoorsman in all aspects of his life in which he shared with his grandkids whenever he could. He also collected guns and became an avid gunsmith and was a member of the North American Hunting Club. Conrad will forever live in our hearts and will never be forgotten. God bless the memory of Conrad.
