Evie was born February 19, 1921, at home in Ada, MN, to Eli and Helen Peterson. She had 9 brothers and sisters. On February 5, 1941, at the age of 20 Evie was united in marriage to Lawrence Tiede. They were married for 71 wonderful years. They were blessed with three children. During their first 20 years together, they made a living farming in Borup, MN. In 1962, they moved to Hawley, MN where they lived the rest of their married life. Evie worked various jobs at Silverline Boats, Hawley Elementary School and Hawley Manor. Although, her greatest and most proud accomplishment was raising and caring for her family.

Beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Evelyn M. (Peterson) Tiede, 91 years of age, passed away peacefully December 6, 2012, at Sanford Hospital surrounded by her loving family.Evie was born February 19, 1921, at home in Ada, MN, to Eli and Helen Peterson.
