Neale Walter Gess was born October 7, 1926, to Walter and Lucille Gess, in West Concord, MN, and attended the public schools in Kenyon, MN. Neale and his family moved to the Fargo-Moorhead area in 1942.Neale entered the US Army February 27, 1945 and was honorably discharged October 31, 1946.
