Loren was born on March 30, 1933 at Walcott, ND to Elder and Annie (Kjelland) Helling. He graduated from high school in Walcott ND in 1953. He was inducted into the Army in April of 1953 were he was stationed at 11 Army post during his 2 years serving in various places in the U.S. and Europe, he was honorably discharged in April of 1955.

Loren L. Helling, 79, of Sheridan passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the Sheridan Manor.Loren was born on March 30, 1933 at Walcott, ND to Elder and Annie (Kjelland) Helling.
