Pearl was born April 1, 1915, in Moorhead, to Emma and Edward Johnson, the youngest of seven children. She was raised on the family farm near Averill, MN, and attended the Averill Elementary School. She was baptized and confirmed at Scandia Lutheran Church. Pearl graduated from Moorhead High School while living with her sister, Ella. She also earned her teaching degree from Moorhead State Teachers College.

Pearl Johnson Larson, age 97, of Moorhead, MN, died Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Sanford Palliative Care in Fargo, ND.Pearl was born April 1, 1915, in Moorhead, to Emma and Edward Johnson, the youngest of seven children.
