Trumen Leonard Eastvold was born November 5, 1918, at home on the farm in Rockwell Township, near Borup. His parents were Gust and Millie (Quame) Eastvold. He was baptized and confirmed at Jevnaker Lutheran Church. As a young boy, he attended country school near Borup until he started farming with his family. Trumen was united in marriage to Bette Corwin on April 6, 1947 in Moorhead, MN. They lived and farmed together for many years in Rockwell Township. Trumen also raised both beef and dairy cattle for a number of years. He always appreciated all the people who would come out and help on the farm over the years in the summer and during harvest time. He especially was fortunate to have Shawn Crompton help for many years.
