John was born in Fargo, June 6, 1931 to George E. and Elizabeth (Bess) Haggart. He graduated high school from Shattuck Military Academy. He attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and graduated from NDSU. John proudly served in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of 1st Lieutenant.

Haggart of Fargo passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 at his home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.John was born in Fargo, June 6, 1931 to George E. and Elizabeth (Bess) Haggart.
