Caecilia Marie Holzer was born on March 25, 1942 in Strasburg, ND, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Baumgartner) Holzer. Cil grew up in Aberdeen, SD where she graduated from Central High School in 1960. She met Don Zens in 1958 and they were married on June 13, 1960. They lived in Aberdeen until they moved to Moorhead in 1963, where they have since resided.
