Daryl D. Hornbacher

November 28, 1936 – April 23, 2013

Daryl D. Hornbacher, formerly of Page, North Dakota, died April 23 in Denver, Colorado. Daryl is survived by his sister Sylvia Lang (LaMesa, CA), two children, David Hornbacher (Aspen, CO) and Deb Grieco (Denver, CO), and two grandchildren, Paige and Sean Hornbacher. He spent his school days in Page and Valley City, ND. His parents were Ernest and Nellie Hornbacher, Page School Superintendant (E) and teacher (N). He was also nephew and cousin to the well-known Hornbacher family – grocers, authors, film producers, and more. He was active in the Sons of Norway and a Colorado camping. He still wintered in Mesa, AZ even as his health declined. He loved his North Dakota heritage and was looking forward to one more trip to Page. He still ate lefse and lutefisk.
