Jeff Aarness

Jeffrey Scott Aarness, 51, Hastings, MN, died in his home of natural causes.

Jeff was born on June 15, 1962, and grew up in Barnesville, MN. He attended and graduated from the Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf in 1981. While there he was an outstanding athlete and was voted homecoming king his senior year. Following his graduation, he worked by his father's side for many years for Haugen Masonry and had a hand in building many familiar structures in the Fargo-Moorhead area, including the Fargodome and the Concordia bell tower. After leaving Haugen Masonry, he had his most rewarding "job" - being a stay at home dad and raising his two precious children. Most recently he worked as a head custodian at Inver Hills Community College in Inver Grove Heights, MN.
