Ruth GrotheRuth Adeline Anderson was born to George and Gunda Anderson on September 20, 1932, in Anthony Township, Minnesota. She was the youngest of three children. She attended country school and graduated from Ada High School in 1950. She attended Lutheran Bible School in Minneapolis for one year.
Ruth was united in marriage to Raymond Grothe on June 24, 1952. They lived on the Grothe farm in Hendrum, Minnesota. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hendrum, where she taught Sunday School and junior choir, and sang in the senior choir. Ruth loved to sing and sang many solos, duets, and trios in church. She provided special music for more than 150 funerals.
