Ardess Irene HendricksonArdess Irene Hendrickson, age 78 of Dilworth, MN passed away into eternity on Saturday evening October 19, 2013 in the Manor Care Nursing Home in Fargo, ND. Ardess was born on September 9, 1935 to Arthur and Francis (Gustafson) Halvorson in Menahga, MN. She attended school in Menahga and after High School Graduation she moved to Minneapolis for employment for a couple years as a Secretary. On September 16, 1955, Ardess was united in Marriage to the love of her life, Roger Henry Hendrickson of Becker County at the Mt, Olivet Lutheran Church in Mpls. This union was blessed with three children: Bradley, Beth, and Stacey. They began their lives together in Virginia, MN; they also lived in Burley, ID and Moorhead, MN before settling in Dilworth, MN in 1965. She was a long time and faithful member of the Dilworth Lutheran Church. Ardess was a stay at home mother who sold Avon for many years, and when her children had grown and left the nest she went to work for a local hospital in the records department, and then Kmart, in Moorhead, MN. until her retirement. Ardess will be best remembered for her love and devotion to her family, nothing was more important to her than family. She especially enjoyed her five grandchildren and took advantage of every opportunity she had to be with them. Her door was always open and the coffee pot was on for anyone who wanted to stop by for a visit. She was known for her special sense of humor and funny sayings that would always brighten up your day. She was a talented cook and prepared many fine meals for her friends and family. She prepared and hosted Easter Dinner for her extended family for many years.
Ardess will be lovingly remembered by her son, Bradley (Desiree) Hendrickson of Bismarck, ND and two daughters: Beth (Greg) Hawkinson of Applevalley, MN and Stacey (Richard) Benson of Horace, ND; her five dearly loved grandchildren: Andrew, Daniel, Breck, Paige, and Ryan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roger, her parents, her brother, George, and her sisters, Betty and Delores.
