Gertrude Margaret GinsbachGertrude Margaret Ginsbach, 83 of Hankinson, ND passed away Friday, November 1, 2013 at St. Catherine’s Living Center, Wahpeton, ND. Funeral mass was Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Hankinson, ND with Fr. Scott Sautner as celebrant. Visitation was Friday from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30p.m. at the Frank Family Funeral Home, Hankinson. Visitation was also one hour prior to mass at the church. Pallbearers are: Ryan Ginsbach, Erica Manor, Natalia Ginsbach, Michael Ginsbach, Michael Barlow, Gregory Barlow, Andrew Barlow, Mike Coppin, Paul Reinke & Bruce Stein. Organist will be Mary Ellen Krump with special music by St. Philip’s Choir.
Gertrude Margaret Sadlicki was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 2, 1930, to Michael and Stella (Stephania Natalia Rupert) Sadlicki. She was the youngest of five children and her sister Margaret chose her little sister’s name in honor of a close friend. She was baptized and confirmed as an infant in Chicago at the Church of ST. Nicholas. Gertie attended public schools in Chicago through second grade and then moved with her parents and sister to Hankinson where she attended grades three through five. Due to the need for her father to help with the family sign painting business in Chicago during World War II, she moved back with her parents and completed grades six through eight in Chicago.
