Eunice Mildred (Litchfield) AndersonEunice Mildred (Litchfield) Anderson, daughter of Roland and Millie (Conklin) Litchfield, was born on April 23, 1919, in Gwinner, North Dakota. She attended rural grade school and graduated from Gwinner High School in May of 1938. Eunice was united in marriage to Robert (Bob) Anderson on July 2, 1938 in Britton, South Dakota. They moved to Ellendale, North Dakota, where Bob attended Ellendale Normal Industrial College, and Eunice was "housemother" to several athletes. Bob graduated from college, they moved to New London, North Dakota, where Bob taught and coached at the New London High School for one year before enlisting in the US Navy. Eunice and their daughter, Bobette, moved back to Gwinner until WWII ended. They moved to Lidgerwood, North Dakota for three years, and then the family moved to Fargo, North Dakota where they lived for 16 years. Eunice worked at Pepsi Cola Bottling Company until she and Bob moved back to Gwinner in 1967 where they built a fourplex and lived in one of the apartments until Bob passed away in 1998. Eunice moved to Maple Grove, Minnesota in 2003 to be closer to two of her daughters.
Eunice was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Gustaf Adolf Lutheran Church and the Gwinner Duplicate Bridge Club. She loved gardening, cooking, playing cards and spending time with her family.
