Federal and local authorities say three people were killed when a plane crashed near the Rochester airport, narrowly missing a house before slamming into a wooded area. Olmsted County chief sheriff's deputy Mark Darnell commanded the scene early Thursday and said the fixed-wing, private plane went down about 200 yards into the woods, making recovery efforts difficult. He says the victims have not been removed from the wreckage. (AP Photo/Rochester Post-Bulletin, Scott Jacobson)
