Tepee Fountain

This photo shows a curious formation called the Tepee Fountain in Thermopolis, Wyo. The thumb-like mound consists of layers of mineral deposits from local hot springs, created as water cascades out of a pipe over a tepee-shaped block. The different colors come from algae.
