Elsie Heinze Kunze
Elsie Marie Jensen was born Feb. 23, 1929 at Cooperstown, ND the daughter of Einar and Jensina Jensen. She attended country schools in the Hannaford and Walum areas before moving with her family to Sibley, ND where she completed school. While growing up there Elsie had a white horse named Silver that was her pride and joy. In April of 1945 she was married to Edward Heinze. A devoted farm wife she milked cows, cleaned, and cooked while raising her family. In 1974 Elsie began her own housekeeping business, Chore Girls. She worked hard and saved her money and took her first trip to Denmark. Her oldest brother Einar was raised in Denmark. He did not come to the United States with the family. This was the first time they had met. Elsie ran her business for over 25 years and at the same time drove school bus for the Luverne School. She moved to Jamestown, ND and married Sylvester Kunze. They moved to Clarkston, WA but Elsie later returned to make her home at Sibley, ND. This past year she had been a resident of the Cooperstown Medical Center.

Evelyn Satrom
Evelyn was born February 25, 1917 to George and Luella (Mullaney) LaVoie at Page, ND. She grew up and attended school in Page. On October 21, 1935 she married Raymond Carlson and together they raised 3 daughters. Evelyn worked at 3 grocery stores in Page over the years. Raymond died in 1971. On February 26, 1972 she married Owen Satrom; he died in 1990. Evelyn moved to Bethany on University in 2006.

Eva, the daughter of Frank and Magdalene (Hoffman) Huschka was born August 2, 1930 in South Heart, ND. The family moved to a farm near Hope, ND where Eva attended school and graduated from high school.

Wallace Bennett, 85, died Tuesday at Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead, MN.Wallace worked for International Harvester for 40 years. He loved golf, hunting and fishing.

Robert A. Gigler
Robert was born April 13, 1917, at home on the farm near Ada, the son of Frank and Martha (Duenow) Gigler. He grew up and attended country school near Ada. From 1940 to 1955, he farmed in Green Meadow Township rural Ada. Robert was united in marriage to Lorraine Larson on March 1, 1940, in Ada. He moved to Moorhead, MN, in 1955 and worked as a finish carpenter for many years as they also lived in Washington and California, before settling in Coon Rapids, MN. Lorraine died in 2000 and Robert continued to live at home until recently moving to Bridges Care Community in Ada.

Leon Trandem
Leon Stewart Trandem was born on July 27, 1921 in Woodside Township, rural Erskine, Minnesota to parents John and Ida (Ramberg) Trandem. In August of 1942, he entered the United States Army, serving in the European Theatre during World War II. He received his honorable discharge in January of 1946.
