N.D. Horse Park announces dates

Racing dates have been announced for the North Dakota Horse Park by the North Dakota Racing Commission for the upcoming season.

The Horse Park will be open for 19 dates in 2009, but with a new variation on the schedule, including more weekend races.

Thoroughbred and quarterhorse racing will run from July 24 to Sept. 7 with post times of 5 p.m. on Fridays and 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays.

There will also be racing all Labor Day weekend with races starting at 1 p.m. on both Sunday and Monday.

Harness racing dates have yet to be announced but will likely be run during the week.
