Karen L. Oren, 61 of Ewa Beach, Honolulu, Hawaii, formerly of Fargo, died January 4, 2009 in Hawaii after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Karen L. Oren, 61 of Ewa Beach, Honolulu, Hawaii, formerly of Fargo, died January 4, 2009 in Hawaii after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Karen was born October 8, 1947 to Deane and Agnes (Murphy) Davis in Fargo, ND. She attended Golden Ridge and Fargo Central. She married Bob Oren December 31, 1989. As of December 28, 2008 she had ten coins with AA, symbolizing ten years of sobriety. She volunteered regularly with the MS Society of Honolulu, HI and was a frequent donator to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. She was also one of Elvis’ biggest fans.
Karen is survived by her husband, Bob; two sons, Carlyn Ussery, Portland, OR and Kevin Ussery, Wichita, KS; three sisters, Kathy (Steve) Sundseth, Minneapolis, MN, Sharon (John) Davis, Spicer, MN and Donna (Don) Kluck, Lino Lakes, MN and brother, Kevin (Becky) Davis, Fargo, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Marc Ussery.
Memorial Service: Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND.
Inurnment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
