Born, Debbie Renae Peterson on March 14, 1956 in Valley City, North Dakota was the daughter of Walter and Mary (Roberg) Peterson. Debbie grew up in Valley City and attended school here. She graduated from Valley City High School in 1974.On August 22, 1975 Debbie was married to Rocky Gabel.
Debbie enjoyed a life full of family, nature and the outdoors. Together with her husband Rocky and son Joey, Debbie took pleasure in the accomplishments they made together including a successful construction company, Gabel Masonry. Debbie was passionate about her dogs and her home. Some of her most precious moments were spent with family and friends on many beautiful lakes. Fishing, ice fishing and watching wildlife were some of her favorite activities. In the last couple years Debbie also enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband and son. Debbie’s love of her family, nature and treasured activities will always be blessed part of her memory.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Rocky Gabel, Valley City, one son Joey Gabel, Fargo, her parents Walter and Mary Peterson, Valley City, one sister Judy (Don) Eastburn, White Bear Lake, Minnesota, one brother Duane (Becky) Peterson, Litchville, North Dakota, one niece Mia, five nephews, Mike, Nick, Dusty, Jeff and Adam, one great niece Hailey.
