Elnora Brown, age 90 of Marshall, MN, formerly of Echo, died Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Prairie Home Hospice House in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at First Lutheran Church of Marshall. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the church in Marshall.

Elnora Catrine Brown was born November 12, 1918 near Tyler, Minnesota to Peder and Anna (Madsen) Hansen. She was baptized on August 21, 1920. She grew up in the Russell, Tyler and Balaton areas and attended Marshall elementary school and Russell High School graduating in 1938. On May 14, 1940 she was united in marriage to Charles Wayne Brown at Danish Lutheran Parsonage in Tyler. They lived in Belview from 1940 until moving to Echo in 1959. Elnora and Wayne moved to Marshall Square Apartments in September of 1996. Elnora entered Bolder Estates in 2006. She was a homemaker and seamstress, member of the First Lutheran Church in Marshall and had belonged to the American Lutheran Church in Echo until it closed. Elnora and Wayne did anything that needed to be done for their church while living in Echo and Belview. Elnora belonged to the Eastern Star. She enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening, tulips, making Barbie doll clothes, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Elnora Brown died on Tuesday January, 27 at Prairie Hospice House in Marshall at the age of 90 years, 2 months and 15 days. She is survived by her children; Elnora “Anne” Koski of Fargo, ND, Corinne (Allyn) Bendix of Echo, Charlene (Scott) Grabow of St. Bonifacius, Mary (Ken) Bostrom of Texas City, TX and Charles (Rosalie) Brown of Henderson, NV and her sisters Sylvia Woelfle of Chaska and Aggie Johnson of St. James. Also surviving are her 16 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Betty Hatch, a granddaughter Jyl Anderson, a great granddaughter Dawn Caroline Bendix 2 brothers; Luverne Nielsen “Hap” and Orville Hansen, and 4 sisters; Esther, Edith, Alice and Oriett, Blessed be her memory.
