Janice Gad, 64, Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, January 28, 2009, after a three-year, courageous fight with ovarian cancer.
She was born Janice LaVonne Janes on November 20, 1944, in Jamestown, ND. Both she and her husband, Chuck Gad, graduated from Jamestown High School. After completing her degree at UND, the couple made their home in West Fargo, ND, where Janice worked more than 30 years at the West Fargo Chiropractic Center.
Along with her devoted husband of 42 years, she is survived by her brother, Larry (Debbie and Matt) Janes, Rapid City, SD; her son, C.J. (Girley) Gad, Harwood, ND; her daughter, Gretchen Gad (FrançoisPierre) Fournier, Minneapolis, MN; her five beloved grandchildren, Wesley Gad (19), Hannah Gad (13), Tristan Gad (11), Sabrina Gad (10) and Emile Fournier (5 weeks); and her brother-in-law, Dennis (Joan) Gad, Bismarck, ND.
Janice grew beautiful gardens, loved nature and will always be remembered as a kind and generous spirit who dedicated her life to her family.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Floyd and Frances Janes.
Visitation: Sunday from 12 to 2 in West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND, with a prayer service at 2.
Funeral Service: Monday, February 2, 2009, at 11 in Hope Lutheran Church ~ South Campus, Fargo, ND.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND.
