Died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at age 52 in Cooperstown Medical Center.
Survivors: wife, Carolyn Nelson; son, Riley John Nelson; two daughters, Callie Jill Nelson, Carissa Jo Nelson; mother, Mavis Nelson; two brothers, Ron (Bette) Nelson, Jim (Diane) Nelson; and a sister, Gina (Jesse) Leikas.
Services: Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 5, with a prayer service at 5, in Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home, Cooperstown, and Monday from 10 to 11, followed by the funeral at 11, in Griggs County Central School, Cooperstown. Burial: Union Cemetery, Hannaford, N.D.
