Debora Haberstroh, age 52, of Gary, Minnesota, formerly West Fargo, North Dakota, died Friday, February 25, 2011 in her home.
Debora Ann Haberstroh, the daughter of Carl and Doris (Guedesse) Haberstroh, was born on January 31, 1959 in Rolla, ND. She spent her childhood in Rock Lake, ND and graduated as an Honor Student from Rock Lake High School in 1977. She then continued her education at North Dakota State University studying Business Management, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Following college, she began managing several truck stops in Fargo, ND and also worked part time as a blackjack dealer. Beginning in the early 1990’s, she was employed at Tri-Line performing dispatch and bookkeeping duties. While working there, Deb met Darrin Pinske and they have shared their life together for the past 16 years. In the spring of 1998, she began her employment with Elite Logistics in Fargo and continued to work there until 2008. Most recently, Deb has been able to stay at home working on her hobbies and spending time with her beloved pets.
Deb was a gifted seamstress and made beautiful quilts. She enjoyed gardening and loved to can her produce each year. Deb also took pleasure in baking and often made special character birthday cakes for her nieces and nephews. She was known as the “Tupperware Queen” and kept meticulous care of her Tupperware collection. Most of all, Deb simply liked spending time with family, enjoying a Pabst Blue Ribbon, and pestering Darrin.
She is survived by the love of her life, Darrin Pinske of Gary; two sisters, Rose (Darrel) Manning of Rock Lake, and Brenda (Darrel) Siewert of Detroit Lakes, MN; one brother, Richard (Kay) Haberstroh of Gillette, WY; nieces and nephews: Jessica Haberstroh, Chandra (Darin) Selzler, Alyssa Manning, Danel (Mike) Bennett, Kelsi (Luke Evans) Manning, Jace (Cassandra Nieman) Manning, Christina Siewert, Sarah Siewert, and Kirby Siewert; two great nieces and 5 great nephews. She is also survived by Darrin’s family: parents, Dave and Jan Pinske of Gary; sisters: Debbie Voyles of Moorhead, MN, Becky Pinske of Fargo, Missy Pinske of Fargo; one brother, Matt Pinske of Gary; and a nephew, Josh Kisser, Moorhead, MN.
Debora was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Anthony.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Gary Lutheran Church, Gary, MN. Visitation will take place from 5:00 until 7:00 on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Anderson Funeral Home, Twin Valley. Interment will be at Gary Lutheran Cemetery, rural Gary.
