Funeral service for Danny Drew Lepp, 52, of Benton, KY and formerly of Ashley will be 11:00 am, Friday, April 15, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church in Ashley.
Burial in Lehr City Cemetery.
There will be a prayer service Thursday at 7 pm with visitation from 3-7 pm at the funeral home.
Danny died Saturday, April 9, 2011 at his home.
Danny Drew Lepp, son of Alvin and Wilma (Hochhalter) Lepp was born October 13, 1958 in Ashley, ND. He grew up in Lehr, ND and when he was in the eighth grade, his family moved to Ashley.
He was united in marriage to Terry Heupel in 1975 in Ashley. He graduated from Ashley High School with the class of 1976. He worked in Lemmon, SD as a meat cutter for a short time. In 1976, he attended East Texas State University in Arlington, TX, graduating in 1980. He moved to Florida and worked for R.C. Cowen as a quarry blaster at Black Hawk Quarry.
He was united in marriage to Cindy Capps on September 23, 1984 at Indian Harbor Beach, FL. In 1996, they moved to Yuba City, CA, where he worked at Western Aggregate as a maintenance supervisor. In 1999, they moved to Clyde, Ohio where he was employed at Hanson Materials as Quarry Superintendent. In 2007, they moved to Benton, where he worked for Vulcan Materials at Grand Rivers Quarry as the Plant Manager of Maintenance.
Danny loved hunting, reloading his own ammunition, fishing, NASCAR and golf.
He was a member of NRA and the Elks Lodge in Benton. Also, a charter member of Theta Xi Fraternity at East Texas State University.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy, one son, Jesse Haas of Brooklyn, NY, his mother Wilma (Alvin) Kracke of Fargo, three brothers, Jack Lepp of Wahpeton, Jerry (Corinne) Lepp of Ashley and Glenn (Debbie) Lepp of Rapid City, SD and one half-brother, Gary Lepp of Rapid City.
His father and two brothers, Leo and Eddie preceded him in death.
Casketbearers will be Mike Dollinger, Russ Lehr, Joseph Lepp, Mark Leyde, Claude Meidinger and Mike Williamson.
There will be special music by Alicia, Heather, Kara and Camile Lepp.
