Dr. Sumit Ghosh, 53, West Fargo, ND died Monday, July 25, 2011 surrounded by family.
Sumit was born May 15, 1958 in Kolkata, India to Lakshmi Narayan Ghosh and Susama Ghosh. He earned his PhD in computer science from Stanford University. He married Twisha Ghosh. He was currently the chair of the Electrical/Computer Engineering Department at North Dakota State University.
He is survived by his wife, Twisha; son, Abhinav Ghosh, Washington, DC; brother, Amit (Sonali) Ghosh, Pittsburgh; sister, Moumita (Gautam) Ghosh, Lagos, Nigeria.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lakshmi Narayan Ghosh and Susama Ghosh.
The family would like to thank the Indian community of Fargo for their support.
The visitation and service will begin at 9 AM, Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Boulger Funeral Home.
