Dale J. Kuehl, 54, of Glyndon, MN, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011, in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. Dale John Kuehl was born February 4, 1957, to Glenn and Mildred (Oberg) Kuehl, at St. Luke's Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Dale J. Kuehl, 54, of Glyndon, MN, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011, in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. Dale John Kuehl was born February 4, 1957, to Glenn and Mildred (Oberg) Kuehl, at St. Luke's Hospital in Fargo, ND. Dale was baptized on March 17, 1957 and confirmed May 14, 1972 at Glyndon Lutheran Church. He grew up on the family farm near Glyndon, MN, attended school and graduated from Glyndon-Felton High School in 1975. After high school he began farming with his brothers, Bob, Wayne and Fred, and Dale raised his first crop that year. On November 17, 1979, he married Tracy Christensen at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead. Together they had three children, Erin Lyn born in 1983, Kristen Amy born in 1986, and Brett John born in 1987. Dale had a life-long love of sports. He excelled in sports in high school, was an avid sports memorabilia collector, a big Twins fan, and attended nearly every sporting event his children were involved in. Dale enjoyed many happy times at their lake home on Lake Eunice. He had fun giving "tours" of the lake on the pontoon while loudly listening to the Beach Boys or a Twins baseball game. Dale also had a love for cars. Over the years he had several, including his 1970 and 1975 Camaros, and more recently enjoyed his 1992 and 2000 Corvettes. Dale served on several beet grower boards over the years and was currently on his second term on the Board of Directors at American Crystal Sugar Company. While Dale had many passions, his main love was his family. Dale was the best husband and dad. He truly loved and enjoyed his family. He was so proud of the wonderful people his children have grown to become. We have so many happy memories of our family time with Dale and will treasure them always. We loved him so.
He is survived by his wife, Tracy; children, Erin, Kristen and Brett; father, Glenn; brother, Bob (Debbie) and their children, Brian (Laurie), and Kevin; brother, Wayne (Kathy) and their children, Sara (Jason), Jamie (Paul), and Lindsey (Kevin); brother, Fred (Angie) and their children, Brad (Jenna), Troy (Stacie), Spencer and Taylor; parents-inlaw, Gene and Betty Christensen; sister-inlaw, LeAnn (Tony) England and their children, Brianne (John), and Luke (Nicole); sister-inlaw, Kelli (Jim) Venzke and their children, Tom, Andrea (Bobbi), and Joel; and brother-in-law, Bruce Christensen.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Kuehl.
Visitation: Monday, January 2, 2012, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., with prayer service at 7 p.m., in Glyndon Lutheran Church, Glyndon, MN.
Funeral: Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN.
Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Glyndon, MN.
