Katharine (Lech) Grosser, age 95, of Carrington, passed away on August 26, 2012 at Golden Acres Manor in Carrington.

Katharine was born to Frank and Magdalena (Kolling) Lech at the family farm near Gladstone, North Dakota, on October 19, 1916. She married John F. Grosser on June 7, 1954. The couple resided at West Fargo for several years and moved to Carrington. She worked as a nurse and as a homemaker. She is survived by children Dolores (John) Loffelmacher of McHenry, Timothy (Valerie) Grosser of Junction City, Kansas, Patricia Grosser of New Rockford and Annette (Casey) Carlson of Dickinson and two stepchildren, Lenora (Paul) Lee of Poway, California and John (Kathy) Grosser of Paonia, Colorado, eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Joe and Steve, six sisters, Theresa, Lena, Margaret, Helen, Marie and Regina. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John, a brother, Frank, and four sisters, Katherine, Lena, Ann, and Rose.

Visitation will be at Evans Funeral Home in Carrington at 7:00 PM August 29. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on August 30 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Carrington with burial at Carrington Cemetery.
