The funeral for Jeanette Carol Johnson, 75, of Milnor, ND, will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church near DeLamere, ND, with burial to follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. also at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Jeanette Carol, daughter of Harry and Mildred (Badger) Maynard was born on July 28, 1937 in Excelsior, Minnesota. She graduated from Orono High School in 1956. Jeanette was united in marriage to Donald Wayne Johnson on December 12, 1976 in Wayzata, Minnesota. The couple farmed in the Milnor area until 2006. Jeanette was a devoted farmer’s wife. Donnie died February 17, 2009. Jeanette enjoyed family, cats and other animals out on the farm, and she enjoyed walking. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Jeanette died peacefully on Thursday, September 6, 2012, following a short battle with cancer. She received wonderful care from the staff at the Four Seasons Health Care Center, Forman, ND, and Hospice of the Red River Valley.

She is survived by two sisters, Marilyn Johnston, Minnetonka, MN and Karen Knutson, St. Cloud, MN; and several nieces and nephews. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 33 years, Donnie.
