Martha L. Littlefield



Martha L. McCallum Littlefield, of Moorhead, died peacefully on November 30, 2012, after a brief illness. She was born to Turner S. and May McCallum Sr. on April 21, 1929, in Milano, TX, and graduated from Milano High. She met and married the love of her life, Don Littlefield Sr., on June 19, 1947. They celebrated 61 years of marriage in 2008.

Martha L. McCallum Littlefield, of Moorhead, died peacefully on November 30, 2012, after a brief illness. She was born to Turner S. and May McCallum Sr. on April 21, 1929, in Milano, TX, and graduated from Milano High. She met and married the love of her life, Don Littlefield Sr., on June 19, 1947. They celebrated 61 years of marriage in 2008.

Martha and Don were dedicated Square Dancers and were founding members of several regional clubs. Martha was an entrepreneur at heart and founded and operated a small business for a number of years, dedicated to teaching others to create, glaze and kiln pottery and porcelain figurines. Upon their retirement, Martha and Don traveled the country in their motor home visiting friends and family and square dancing all over the country.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Don Sr., her parents Turner S. McCallum Sr. and May McCallum, and brothers James (Jake), Wayne, Tommy, William (Bill), and Turner S. Jr.

Martha is survived by her brother Jack, son Donald Jr. (Candace), two Grandsons, Trevor Littlefield (Thea) and Turner Littlefield (Misty), four Great Grandchildren, Hannah, Logan, Hayden, and Elliott Littlefield, and sister-in-law Shirlenne Upton of Fargo, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Wednesday, December 5, 2012, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.

Funeral: Thursday, December 6, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., in First Congregational United Church of Christ, Moorhead, MN.

Interment: Moorhead Memorial Gardens, Moorhead, MN.
