Josephine Salzwedel, 94, formerly Alice, ND, died Thursday, November 29, 2012 in the Parkside Lutheran Home, Lisbon, ND.

Josephine Wellentin was born May 18, 1918 to Julius and Emma (Kapaun) Wellentin. They lived on a farm near Alice. She married Raymond Salzwedel January 7, 1943 while Raymond was serving in the US Army. Together, they farmed near Alice for many years and continued to live there until July of 1998 when they moved to West Fargo. Raymond died in 2004.

She is survived by one son, Monte (Betty), Fargo, ND; two daughters, Cherrie (Dennis) Lum, Durango, CO, Deborah Reilly, Edinburg, ND; son-in-law, Wayne Harder, Edinburg, ND; three grandsons, Tom (Misti) Salzwedel, Mike (Karen) Lum, Jason (Erin) Lum and a granddaughter, Vanessa Harder.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; twin brother, Joseph; brother, Clarence; four sisters, Alice, Angeline, Clara an Evelyn; daughter, Raelyn Harder and son-in-law, Bruce Reilly.

Memorial Service: Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 10 in West Funeral Chapel, West Fargo, with visitation from 9 to 10.

Burial: Alice (ND) Community Cemetery.
