Olga passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the Arthur Good Samaritan Center at the age of 93.
Olga Foss was born on December 9, 1918, the daughter of John and Kaspara (Karstenson) Foss near Galesburg, ND. She grew up in this area and attended country school. She was confirmed at Elm River Lutheran Church in Galesburg. Olga was united in marriage to Charles Henka and they made their home on the Henka family farm near Hillsboro where they farmed for many years. Charles passed away in January of 2011 and Olga had recently made her home at the Arthur Good Samaritan Center this past year. Olga was a longtime member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro.
Olga was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brothers, Justin Foss and OK Foss; and her sister, Clara Torgerson.
Olga is survived by her sons, Kenneth and Keith; her sister-in-law, Ruth Henka; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the caregivers at the Arthur Good Samaritan Center, to Hospice of the Red River Valley, and to her pastor, Joe Johnson, for his many visits.
VISITATION: one hour prior to the service in the church on Friday
FUNERAL SERVICE: 11 AM Friday, December 7, 2012 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro
BURIAL: Riverside Cemetery in Hillsboro
