Washington, Ill. - Lynn Darrell Beck, 63, of Washington, Ill. died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at 3:50 a.m. at Washington Christian Village.He was born Aug. 31, 1949, in Valley City, North Dakota, to Rex H. Jr. and Grace (Faust) Beck. He spent most of his childhood years living in various locations throughout North Dakota. He graduated from Tower City High School in Tower City, N.D., attended Valley City State College in Valley City, N.D. and Portland Community College in Portland, OR.

Washington, Ill. - Lynn Darrell Beck, 63, of Washington, Ill. died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at 3:50 a.m. at Washington Christian Village.
He was born Aug. 31, 1949, in Valley City, North Dakota, to Rex H. Jr. and Grace (Faust) Beck. He spent most of his childhood years living in various locations throughout North Dakota. He graduated from Tower City High School in Tower City, N.D., attended Valley City State College in Valley City, N.D. and Portland Community College in Portland, OR.
Lynn and his family moved in 1977 from North Dakota to Oregon and then to Peoria, Ill. in 1994. He married Mary Ann Gregg on Jan. 4, 2003, in Germantown Hills. They resided in Washington, Ill.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Rebecca (Mark) Mathews, Christine (James) Anderson, both of Las Vegas, N.V., and Sydney Jarrett of Raleigh, N.C., one son Ken (Jennifer) Beck of Las Vegas, one stepdaughter, Carrie Gregg of Streator, Ill., ten grandchildren, two sisters, Dotty Norgard of Little Canada, MN., and Sandy (Perry) Espe of Grand Forks, N.D., and four brothers, Garry (Aquina) Beck of West Fargo, N.D., Kelly (Brenda) Beck of Arvilla, N.D., Rick (Sheila) Beck of Metamora, Ill., and Cliff Beck, Dallas, TX. Lynn is preceded in death by one son, Robert, his parents, and grandparents.
Lynn worked at various jobs during his lifetime and served a total of 17 years in the Army National Guard and Reserves.
Funeral services were held Nov. 17, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Peoria, Ill. Lynn's memorial website can be found at www.deitersfuneralhome.com, where online condolences may also be sent to the family.
